President's message

Welcome to the Kappa Alpha Theta Nashville Alumnae Website! This site contains information about our alumnae chapter and officers, the Bal d’Hiver, the Alpha Eta Chapter at Vanderbilt and volunteer opportunities. If you’re not already, we’d love for you to be a part of the alumnae chapter; there are many ways to get involved.

We have two meetings a year: Fall Supper in October and our Founders’ Day Luncheon in January. These two events are a great way to meet and connect with area alumnae. We also have a wine tasting in the spring; another great event that is purely social.

There are also many ways to get involved with the Alpha Eta Thetas at Vanderbilt. We host the girls in our homes for Auntie Mame dinners twice a year which is a great way to get to know the girls. We help bake brownies for their fall fundraiser, decorate the house for the holidays, assist during rush, and host a senior farewell dessert. We also enjoy having the new members join us for our Founders’ Day celebration.

The biggest undertaking of the Nashville alumnae group is the Bal d' Hiver, a presentation ball honoring area college seniors that takes place every Thanksgiving weekend. Bal d' Hiver proceeds benefit CASA, Family and Children's Services and the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation. This is truly a spectacular event. The Bal d’Hiver co-chairs need lots of volunteers to put on this event, so if you’re interested in helping we’d love to have you. This is another great way to get involved, meet people and raise money for our philanthropies.

Please check the website often, as we will have information about activities and events as well as other news and reports.
